Hi brother, I know the feeling. Usually they burn themselves out in about 15 minutes. If they go bingo Barney let em go until someone at the table feels like going heads up.

Do not engage in chat with them, if they get out of control, report it.

I don’t engage these pests .

Best of luck

Tight… but aggressive on our own blinds… :black_joker: I don’t let um walk on me… :muscle:
if they are rude, gross, etc. call a Mod or report them :writing_hand:. Some folks from the gaming world have no concept of poker etiquette, so a little education :mortar_board: might be in order… Micki

Do not encourage them by engaging them. But think of them as easy chips! ( you will appreciate them more that way.) Pick your spot and take their chips. It is very rewarding. They are generally looking for attention, so by all means don’t give them any. If they give me an opening I will sometimes explain that poker is a game of patience, or perhaps suggest that if they aren’t happy on this site, then they should find ways to make this site more to their liking. Often I get one more smart mouth answer from them and they soon leave the room. Seems they can’t take it when they get ignored though.

I hate conformity. People are so easily offended these days. Just show some damn tolerance.

Contrarian; a person who takes an opposing view, as in economic matters.

Harley, you might be surprised to know. There isn’t a faster way known to man for creating and building a waiting list for a game, then when a Bingo player shows up on a table in any casino or card room. It’s literally like Christmas when they light on your table.
With that being said, Maybe another look at what really is happening is in order. On the table itself, with attitudes, feelings. It’s generally accepted having a negative view of these players. It’s human nature, but it’s not the path to any success against their play. Most everyone retreats, some even shun them on the table out of complete frustration and contempt. Which in turn feeds the fabled “Bingo Beast”.

Let me ask, does anyone believe Bingo Players have an advantage with their method of play ? Most answer of course not. So now there are only two elements left to deal with and solve. Our own perceptions and the few tools you’ll need to be successful with them on the table. In fact, In most all card rooms and casinos these players are quite popular and have many many friends who love to play cards with them.

Personally, I’ve friend-ed many here now, and some are asking questions about playing… Oh yea, that’s another thing I discovered, some or most of the Bingo players simply don’t know how to play and find it’s difficult to ask questions on an open table. Then it really doesn’t take long to feel the wrath of the frenzied enforcers of Bingo play.
i’m getting such a kick discussing poker and helping with the few that have latched on.
Replay has been such a wonderful wealth of friends and an abundance of opportunities to contribute and be part of on so many different levels. Thanks … :jack_o_lantern::sunglasses:

when the bingo player comes be like a siren (well, except for the part that you shouldn’t kiss them, most people won’t be appreciating if you do :joy:)
keep friendly, make then want to stay with you, and lure them to their doom :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

Nice concept. The spiders web context. Hello, have a seat, get comfortable, be a Player, have fun, gain confidence in your play, then just when you go all in to prove your point the spider appears and just like that it’s over. That’s the reality of it all…

I love it :+1:t2:

Even in live games you will see the players that either make the game a chore or enjoyable. The idea is to recognize them and work them to your advantage. Online should be no different. So let’s look at the more common fleas as our thread starter calls them.

x*******x

Bingo players — the player going all-in way too often. Patience will see their chips melt away.

Super aggressive — bets pairs like trips or straights like full houses. Patience but call if you hit

Trash talker — this player is trying to get you off your game, don’t be distracted

Foul mouth — might not curse but comes as close as possible to it, keep cool

Instructors — think they are god’s gift to poker. Compliment as you see their stack vanish

ATC — will play anything and difficult to discourage. Learn what makes them run and stay below that when you get the great hand

bluffer — will show you his great bluffs, cousin to the super aggressive. Keep your confidence.

river rat — is hoping for that magic card. You’ll not get rid of them so accept their victories knowing the odds will eventually kill them.

That’s a special type of poker pest and one only seen online - the raunchy railbird. The fellow who will second guess with his 20/20 hindsight and make you look like a fool. Card rooms / casinos don’t allow it and many sites block such attempts. Just remember you’re in the game, not the railbird. Play your game.

I reported two pests in two separate games in the past month. The second one, I posted a few times to the players that the pest was cursing at. We all started talking about whether this person is getting under our skin. That dialogue ended his drama. Not a plan one should recommend to others, but I would stand up for others any day of the week and twice on Wednesday.
