New Flavors, Real or Imagined

I’m fascinated by the creative people who develop new recipes for familiar foods, like ice cream and beer. Here’s an ice cream made with spruce tips (which sounds better to me than mustard-flavored ice cream, but that’s another story).

I posted in the “ Foodie “ thread a recipe for Fish Stew yesterday using pine needles. It’s very hard to be creative using flavors of the wild without using tons of sugar which eliminates the entire diabetic world but I will post natural recipes as I develop them.

Next up, Spruce flavored meatballs as I promised Jan for her newfound love of everything Spruce.
