My youngest son was about 9 hours from being a Leap baby, good thing he didn’t wait instead of being 24 he would only be 6 lol.

Hi @JanCee , As the Great teacher you were & still am, please refresh my old memory of history. If I my memory’s correct, weren’t we originally using the Gregorian Calendar and why did we change it?

When I was a teacher, we had no such thing as Google. Now that I’m retired and Google exists, this is how I find information. We actually switched from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar. Here’s ths simplest explanation as to why:

Why did we switch from Julian to Gregorian calendar?

The Julian Calendar was replaced in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII and his advisors after they found an error of the leap years and 11 minutes of the year was off, adding ten extra days more than it needed by that time.

(Thank you, Google!)
