Would it be possible to have the ICM chop option at the final tables? These all in shoves would just not be happening in live tournaments. Not sure if this has been brought up but I always thought it should be included.
It’s always brought up but In short, there isn’t a 1:1 ratio of chips and expected winnings. The big stack can still run bad and bust for 4th place money and the short stack can win a few flips and cash in 2nd or whatever.
In an ICM chop, big stack will always get less than first place and short stack will get more than last place. An ICM chop basically calculates a stack’s value relative to the payouts left with an even distribution of probabilities. Expected value for tournament stacks if that makes more sense.
