I find them distracting and annoying. I often need to refresh the page to get rid of the bubbles that keep popping up to tell me I’ve “won” some achievement. They mean nothing. We’re not all children here. We don’t need little cartoons and ribbons.

Danny, have hope! Eventually you’ll run out of achievements to win, as I have done. I haven’t had an achievement bubble in years.

Wonder if this might help you, if you click on your Profile photo and go to Settings, in the Notifications section, turn off the Achievements notifications button. Second from the bottom in my screenshot below. I think that will stop the notifications from popping up.
