Mtt : bluffing with a short stack all-in

[IMO]

the mtt is getting close to the money and a short stack goes all-in

you shouldnt bluff, getting the player eliminated has more value then the pot

doing this at a money site wont make you popular

players can come back, ive seen players (and was lucky myself) knock out the bluffing player

When I’m one of the larger stacks, I like to give the shorter stacks a chance to stay in the game (especially on Replay) and usually I will call if no one else does. It also depends on the ROI to call.

I’ve have been in that situation and it depends a lot on the circumstances, cards held, possibilities and if the player wants to advance beyond just in the chips

i was trying to say;

bluffing other players out of the hand post flop because one has overs, a draw or bottom pair, is imo not the smartest thing to do

I agree, nothing chaps me more than someone bluffing and keeps the player in the tournament. It stinks eliminate people sometimes but it has to be the worst play when your near pay.

Yeah I’ve never understood the allure of trying to steal a very tiny side pot (or a side pot of ZERO) with total air or even a poor equity semi-bluff.
