Why don’t you have a no small blind policy instead of not allowed to play when you join as small blind like some other sites please?

Hi Nannamouse, the reasons we felt we had to add the rule where a player may not enter the game in the small blind were: Firstly, there were many instances of players having to pay a Big blind in consecutive hands if a new player joined the game on their immediate right.

Further to this, if a new player joins the game in the small blind position and does not pay a blind, then gets ‘free’ hands all the way around the table until it is their turn to pay the Big Blind, then leaves without taking a Big Blind, they are seriously exploiting the Rules since always getting a hand for free and never paying a blind would be very unfair on other players. Since the game logic is fixed, we have noticed that the games have flowed more smoothly, specifically in tournaments where players moving tables were frequently forced to pay consecutive Big Blinds when they moved or a new player was moved to an empty seat which should have paid a small blind but was getting a ‘free ride’ Any sites allowing their players to enter the game in the small blind position are surely not following the logical Rules of Blind and Button movement which are applied as standard by absolutely all the competitive cash sites. I hope this answers your question. Kind Regards, Robert (Chaetheriver)
