I am a tight player that folds around 90% of my hands. This gives a lot of free time to do other things. I bought a tablet to watch movies while I play poker on my laptop. I was wondering if anyone else does anything else while playing poker? Or do you pay attention to the game the entire time playing each hand?
Thanks for your response and have a great day!!
I do my bills and look at stats for sports players (for fantasy sports) when I’m out of hands, hate just watching all the hands as i then dream about poker cards:).
I focus on the game and what my opponents are doing and I’m very aware of the clock as not to slow down the game. Nothing to distract me as I’m not bored waiting on my turn.
I read social media & news on the laptop and answer text messages. I’m A.D.D. so it’s hard to just play poker…
I pay attention, study the board texture, try to put players on ranges, try to get a feel for the player types. More is learned in hands you aren’t in than in hands you are, since you should be folding your bad hands, which is most of your hands, preflop.
if i’m tired i pay attention. sometimes i craft youtube posts or do easy things in my google task list. my fave is to play 2 or 3 poker tables at once and then i’m all in!!!
Sad to say, I play solitaire while at the replay tables …
I feel that I should do something productive but that never seems to happen.
This morn I was in a wonderful Omaha tourney … t’was most enjoyable.
You should pay attention to the game, why play if you’re bored.
