Wake Up Routines

Wake up

It can be a rough transition, this business of going from night to day. What’s your wake-up routine? Suggestions for those who just can’t seem to change states with any ease?

This is how it works in my son’s home. This isn’t him, but it goes this way at his house!

Woke up, fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up I noticed I was late
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Made my way upstairs and had a smoke
And everybody spoke and I went into a dream

I avoid it at all cost!

I haven’t had to use an alarm clock in years. My cats get me up between 3am and 4 am everyday. The 2 girls I have now love using my head or my back as a scratching post. Years ago I had a cat who would systematically knock things of the dresser or the desk. Each item would get tossed one at a time, until I would get up to let them out.

One of the many reasons I prefer a dog.

Well, if you sleep with a dog, you’ll get the same treatment! lol

Yeah…no

Dogs don’t do scratching posts nor do they kneed bread on your boobies
