there seems to be only a use for 10 red chips in the upcoming tournament, what will be their value if you have more or leftovers after the tournament?

This is a very fair question indeed 
Those tokens have a value of 10,000 chips.
There are 15 events with a buy-in of 10,000 or 1 red token and one event ( the main event) with a buy-in of 20,000 or 2 red tokens. So 17 red tokens can be used during the online series.
If a player have some tokens left after the series, he will be able to use them in any tournament that have a buy-in of 10,000 chips. But this will only be possible after the online series.
