Marc & Craig, we’ve got about a foot so far (7:30 AM) near Worcester. Strong wind gusts (20 to 40 mph) aren’t helping. Weather says storm should be pretty much done by 4 PM, just in time for dark. Oh, goody (he says ironically). Duchess is up near Dracut, she’s probably got more.
Where I am we’ve gotten at least a foot of snow if I had to guess. Very light snow right now but according to the weather it will start snowing heavily again.
Morning! Still got electricity but it’s wiiiindy …about a foot on the ground and yes Alan should subside by 1600 hours just in time for no clean up due to darkness. Stay safe and cozy everyone!
I heard about a controversial decision in a school district on the East Coast somewhere. Kids are attending school virtually, but the superintendent called a snow day! hahahhaa–maybe sketchy Internet service? I feel sure there’s a good reason, but it sounded funny.
If I had to guess Jan, I would say the teachers have a certain number of snow days off in their contract. Since they only get the entire summer off, 2 weeks around Christmas off, and every holiday off, you can’t expect them to give up those precious extra snow days off!
For me, there is never enough snow. My cats love it. They do believe they are dogs. We can play for hours in the snow. My horses love it too. (Makes for a soft landing when I get tossed)
I can spend hours just sitting outside, watching it fall. Snow is brilliant!!!
