If you could design a poker weekend get-away, where would you go? Who would you take with you? How would you schedule the games, etc.? (Just for fun, imagine someone else is footing the bill.)
I thought this would be easy to answer, but on reflection Poker is my game of choice when tucked away in my home while everyone else pursues their interests. My ideal “poker” getaway weekend would be surrounded by interesting people in a beautiful hotel overlooking the sea, chilling by day, then have poker evenings organised by Victoria Coren Mitchell with anecdotes and wicked poker gossip from her, and fun games with her wonderful husband David.
Oh my. Please may I come?
Yes! And bring your knitting!
I’d need to add a time machine to the list. I’d go back to the Las Vegas of 1990 and watch Monsour Matloubi win the WSOP Main Event by beating Tuna Lund, again. Then, I’d attend a wedding of friends (who had busted out of that event earlier). Then, I’d convince myself to NEVER try to go pro myself because I simply wasn’t a strong enough player. It would have saved me a whole lot of “what if” thinking. Some lessons are more painful than others, but if we survive, we learn…
In a perfect world with no Covid-19, I would go back to the Casino de Monte-Carlo in Monaco, France all by myself like before until that happens I’ll spend my time on Replay Poker!
My poker dream weekend would be at a casino in the Bahamas right near a beach! Sit out and relax on the beach all day, enjoy a few drinks then jump into an MTT at the casino at night! Sounds like the prefect poker dream weekend to me!
My dream poker get-away would take place in Vegas, and feature me and a bunch of very rich child actors and actresses, ideally ones who don’t know the first thing about how to play.
You are in it to win it, clearly! How fun. I’ll be a fly on the wall!
u should play 2 win but not to have the wool pulled over your eyes.
Welcome to the Replay Poker Forums, Races123. Hope to see you often, and good luck at the tables.
Are there any left? Didn’t they all get trampled on by fame and exploitation - no longer rich, or we talking Downey Jr…still a child actor, cause I would be in that kinda weekend.
