Poker Clothing

Coming up with names for the brand is proving extremely difficult lol

Hi RUAhead,

Several years ago I had a young man who played cards regularly in one of my card parlors. He went into the silk screening business. I worked out a deal with him where I put up some seed money and took it out in service. Basically, I purchased several very nice dress shirts for my self, my partner and all our managers, golf type pullover 3 button with collar shirts for all my dealers, and a lot fo T shirts I used for various promotions and also sold to the public. We negotiated a very cheap rate for screening my shirts until his tab with me was paid off, and then a reasonable rate thereafter. It worked out well for all. I would suggest that when you have all your information and a firm handle on costs and what it takes to make a profit, you approach a large poker room owner or a casino with poker room and negotiate something with them.

The Nuts might be a decent Brand Name.

Be careful and do your research :+1:t2:

The nuts and da nuts are already gone.

Remember on names, this is an open forum and anyone can read these threads and posts.

Greeting RU,
I’m sure the right name will come to you RU, either through inspiration, some branding coaches, or even a focus group… It just doesn’t need to be the first thing out of the box my friend… I’m pretty sure it should be closer to the rear of the project so you can take advantage of any unforeseen changes. Right now it’s your creations from inspirations, your business plan or outline, proof of concept with focus groups, they will need the most energy. In the long run, it’s much cheaper than investing in all the equipment, the building space, and the finished merchandise. Do it the opposite way RU… It works much better and simply cheaper.
When you do the final part of the viewing of you wears and presentation with study group, you give them the opportunity to come up with some names, while your clothing is new and fresh in their minds. I’ll find that stuff I mentioned eventually. :sunglasses:

Do Not do it arse backwards as suggested above Michael.

I think my post speaks volumes and I’ll leave it at that…

Also check out your competition and get some ideas.

A great place to start is Ebay.

Great story Seville… Great advise as well…If he has the least bit of any creative gumption, the energy and drive to see it through… I’m sure it’ll be an exciting and rewarding journey for him no matter the outcome…

Good luck in this venture. I probably would not do a grinder shirt though, it’s way too easy to get mistaken as grindr and I can’t see huge demand for that tee.

I did an unbelievable amount of searching (ridackulous) and finally came up with a brand name  I will definitely share it but only once I have the i’s dotted and T’s crossed. Im starting to build the website now once thats built the ink should be dry and I can’t wait to share it with you guys/gals (your like my second family (that’s a good thing!)) and I really do appreciate all of the insights: good, bad, indifferent all the same (fantastic feedback).

Sincerely,
Michael

Hi Michael, any updates on the clothing yet ?

Not yet, things are going ok… I say ok because I’ve got a couple really good designs but the rest are just ok.

There is another competitor in the space and I think their stuff (designs) are better but I believe I have a better story  which opens the doors to a much broader range of people.

Sooo I’m going to start looking for an artist. Hopefully I can find one who is really good?

Paying for artwork would be difficult so hopefully I can work something out to where I pay with profits on sales until they are paid what we agree or possibly take on a partner for a percentage of the business so we both win?

Anyway that’s where I’m at

Thanks for the update. I thought there was an artist here that posted to you ? That would be great to find one here that could help you out so you wouldn’t have to pay up front costs.

Keep me posted please

Craig

Oh heck, I’m not going to have to start wearing clothes when I play am I?
