Playing multiple tables

Edit

Maggie Cat , Please help me understand. Why would this statement make you think I am selfish?

The ā€œvote offā€ feature could be abused e.g. three people at a table wanted to make room for friend. Consistent winners could be black balled.

Perhaps a player could be eliminated after three ā€œtermination warnings.ā€

Indeed, if I can put player on tilt - makes my job much easier (which is to win hands)
Also, better than average poker players - whether online or on a real table - MIX UP their play.
The more unpredictable the better.

Try having a few special ring tables that prevent players from playing any other table at the same time. I am confident that play will be faster and the table will be immensely popular. Nothing is more annoying than waiting for the the same slow player unable to handle multiple tables.

play a couple tables at a time myself but i keep up, if iā€™m not keeping i sit out one table for minute till i get straightened outā€¦but there is a few people playing 6 tables at a time i truly beleive that just simply rudeā€¦shouldnt be able to do that many tables

My thoughts are simple, those who play multi tournaments at the same time are looking to boost their egoā€™s and rankings quicker than other one tournament at a time players.
I find it frustrating when waiting for multi game players to grace the table with their presence only to fold or go all in with nothing.
True, some players can play more than one game at a time, frankly I find it rude and disrespectful to those that canā€™t. If those players who find it boring playing one game at a time, I say tough, you couldnā€™t do it in a casino could you !

Just try playing 2 tables at once. You probably wont regret it.

Just a thought but have a look at the leaders in a MTT Leader Board the low stake one shows the leader i.e. No. 1 plays on AVERAGE 20+ games a day. How ???2 or even 3 tables at a time I get but assuming you eat & sleep it seems impossible to really play a table with any respect.

I regularly play with multiple tables and it doesnā€™t slow down my play or hurt my decision making at all.

Having played for more than a year l find it really offensive when 1 or 2 players at my table are playing multiple games ant taking up our time while we wait. they should be booted from all but one table.

Some facts

The time is belong the player. pls dont tell what to do with it.
If you dont like it, go findother room.
If some take too much time, they get booted anyway.
There is the pre-set buttonsā€¦ use them.
When HTML5 done, buttons hopefully work better, as now pre-set button can not register if you hit it just before your turn.
I play mostly 4, sometime 5-6-7-8 table. Iā€™m sure, Iā€™m much faster on 8 table then you on one.
All website allow the multi play, actually encourage it! Some even have set of futures , let you play 20.

marc you may think you are fast but many others hold up game needlessly they cant do it at casino so why here what you say is pure cow doodoo

Well not all of it is, as you so poetically put it, ā€œdoo dooā€, multitabling is a widely accepted and effective strategy for online poker, it doesnā€™t occur live because it is impossible live. I donā€™t have an issue with games being held up because of it, and honestly itā€™s not so hard to wait the 15 seconds anyhow.

if as you say 15 sec is not long if all 9 players take 15 sec its not hard to do the math 2 min 15 sec per card wow over 8 min per hand awesome.

@curlers
For the record: slow table 20 sec, fast is 10 sec

Assuming all players see all streets, and additionally that still isnā€™t insanely long, especially compared to live.

yes but I was just at a 9 player table and it was unbearable because at least 4 players were playing 3 or more tables at the same time ā€¦ making us wait while they play oter tables is just plain RUDE ā€¦

Iā€™ve been looking at this and to be honest I donā€™t think that this post will get any changes on the site, but if the game got limited to just one table then I think that I (and many other high stakes players) would have to leave the site and find another place where you could play at more than one table. The game just doesnā€™t run fast enough with one table when you use proper opening ranges and are select the the hands that you play (rather than being a super passive 80/10 or a crazy 70/50 like many of the players on this site). I think that many of the good players on this site can play more than one table at a time at a good speed without making people wait (many decent players on real money sites can play twelve or more tables at a time without slowing down too much, although this does take out a lot of the fun in the game.) I havenā€™t noticed too many players who consistently time out, but if some people are playing at an unbearably slow pace then I think that Replay should make it so that players should get a warning if they keep timing out or taking almost all the time and if they continue then they should be banned from playing more tables temporarily and be given an email of some sort by Replay to notify them. This would be a much more fair solution than simply banning all players from playing multiple tables including people who can deal with it responsibly.

+1 on that , one table slow, I would stop play too.
I think the Java not good, as sometime I pre set fold, but if too late, then its wont register. By the time I notice that, I play 3 table further. :frowning:
I think actually RP should make multi table futures, If you think that make it wors, no, actualy would make faster play.
Some restrictions I would add. New players under 10k hand should not allowed play multi table at all.
If player time out a certain ammount, then should restricted too.
