Just because u share an ip (ie my wife) doesnt mean u have mult accts. And then u have mods (spgodog) threatening,to deletw evryones accts. I have been a loyal replay member for awhile now and it seems this site is going backwarda fast and many many othwrs agree. If my acct gets deleted cuz me and my wife play on same ip at separatw times that will be bs. We r not hackrs just tryin to enjoy a game of cards. I guess we need a new site cuz this seems to be a consistant problem
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Shared ip.
from other thread, here is your answer for the “friend” chips. "Paul Gould (Official Rep) 6 days ago A referral is invalid if it’s detected from the same household. Unfortunately we need to place this restriction to help avoid players gaming the system and gaining lots of chips just by referring themselves over and over again. If you genuinely are sending to another member of your family, please email us at support@replaypoker.com with all the details and we’ll do our best to help. "
We’re thinking about automatically preventing players with the same ip from playing in the same ring game, S&G or MTT with less than X players (pokerstars use 45 or less). For MTTs greater than 45 players, we would make it so the players with the same ip never play on the same table until the final table, where they could play together. With these changes in place, same ips would become much less of an issue, so that those people using the site from the same ip would be much less likely to be accused of collusion, and accepted as simply more than one person from the same household using the site.
Hi…=0) Just a question ref to the topic. What benefit do you have from playing from same IP… that you don´t have when you play connected in for example Skype? That can ALL do.
Generally two person in the same house sign up, so, they IP will be the same. Some user abuse this, to open more then one account, rake in the rewards, free chips, or cheat.
You think link to the skype account or something? Maybe its morning , but I dont get it. Something like verification with other sites, like skype, facebook or similar?
Best you can do is send an email to support@replaypoker.com with all info. The nickname of your wife and the problems. Andrew can look into it and help you.
We’ve now implemented this feature. Players using the same ip will not be allowed to join the same ring game table and will not be able to register for the same tourney when there are less than 30 players registered.
This is something that has been needed for a long time, now players will have no question about the fairness of game play . And the ones that cry about this, will not be able to cheat, just saying all is fair now…
I think you refer to the players can seat out as much they want, this thread about one player cant play multiple account in the same tour. Honestly, this comment Should be deleted as abuse , I leave it for now, maybe some staff member come over and explan it for you better then I ever could.
I am making the point that people can do all kind of things to mess people up but the rule was made about the same IP NO ABUSE ( for people who don’t play multiple but have the same IP) read the question the remark then read what paul posted a few hours before i posted this. it’s not off topic AND IT 'S NOT ABUSE
I realy dont want to argue about this, and anything, but if you dont mind I share some facts.
Use of caps , lots of questionmarks, call anything or anyone as lier is abuse, write low case real name is disregards to others , please keep calm, try to have a nice conversation . I started my post “I think” , may I was wrong. I like to ask you refrase your comment and explain what you refer, as this thread not about users who use multiple rooms and holding up the clock. All the best
I’ll try one more time. My wife and I play from the same IP address some time Grand kids when they visit ok. we have bought chips we have also won some. We like to play against each other at the same table same tour same ring game. We don’t cheat or what ever your saying people are doing. We can no longer sign up at the same time or play unless there are 45 or less . We happen to want to p [lay at the same time. Now we can’t. But RP allows people to play many games at the same time while the rest of the people have to wait for them run the clock out , hold up the game. Thats ok they can talk trash to others . try and upset people so they do something to lose all their chips . Thats ok. But you won’t let people play in the same game if they have the same IP how is that fair . I don’t know how to make it any clearer . putting two or three question marks or making a statement is abuse ? I thought the forum was to ask / make remarks with in reason I guess not. One thing I would like to know if I buy chips and my wife buys chips when there are good deals on them and win games why would we be chip dumping ?What good would it do? Now I have to go out of my way because my wife ,Grand kids. and I want to play from the same IP but it’s ok for people ( the same people that do it all the time) to play three or four games at a time holding others up? In the tourns except free roll there are not 45 people playing during the day and later at night. only in the free rolls?
We know there are many honest players playing from the same IP, that is the reason we allowed it so long, on most sites it is not possible (not allowed) to play at the same table or smaller tourneys when you play from the same house.
Unfortunately there came more and more cheaters, players playing with more accounts on the same table, in the same tourney, chidumping, collecting daily bonussen and put everything on 1 account. Such cheating ruining the game for others who plays fair.
And yes, it are play chips, but to keep the value of the play chips we can not allow cheating.
Now there are enough ring game tables open to play on different tables when you play from the same house. And in tourneys with 45 or more players you can play both. And every hour there are 2 - 4 tourneys, you can play on the same time, or in the same larger (with 45+ players) tourneys or both in different tourneys.
