I have had say Queen high flush and opponent has has the same yet they win the pot, this has frustrated me.
This happens when the Queen is on the board and is shared by both players. The next highest flush card will determine the winner. If you can post the hand number the player base here will give you a full explanation.

If this is the hand in question you both shared QJT of spades.
CORVA had QJT94
You had QJT82
His 9 outranks your 8 so he does indeed win.
