I like playing

I like playing the Regional American MTT game with a 5000 entry. It is part of a monthly contest where the highest point player wins 690,000 chips. The game time fits my schedule and the cost is not bad. Naturally, since I play this game I looked into the promotion. There are two games each day and I think they are 5000 and 15,000 buy-ins. If we take 30 days times the 2 tournaments (60) and multiple that times the total buy-ins which is 20,000 that comes to 1,200,000 in entry fees for the month to win 690,000 chips if you finish first. If you finish first. There are almost 3,000 players. Of course, those near or at the top of the rankings must have won chips during this time to help offset the 1,200,000 in entry fees. Now if there are 150 players, the 5000 game will pay just over that 5000 amount for places 26-30. For instance, 155 players paid 5332 chips for places 26-30. In other words, you have risked 5000 to win 332 chips. That bothers me. I don’t participate in any of the promotions. I think they are wonderful for those that choose to devote their time to these promotions…

@eddie72 ,
The Regionals are the best games I’ve found here @ Replay, as far as MTTs go.
Less Donks, more serious players, better poker all around …
Keep playing them, but you forget… if you’re gett’n enuff points to get serious bonus on the leaderboard, then you’re prolly winning most of your entry fees or making a profit.
