How does a straight lose to a one pair?

I’m confused at the outcome of this match, can anyone explain?

Also, in this game a triple 4 beats a triple ace, how?

First winning hand is a Full House, Eights full of Sevens which beats a straight.
Second winning hand is a Full House, Fours full of Aces which beats triple Aces.

Oh I totally misunderstood a full house then.I previously thought you needed to contribute to both 2 and 3 pair combinations to make the full house, but it looks like the dealer could make one of those pairs on their own? Thanks

In texas hold’em you are dealt 2 cards (your hole cards) and 5 shared on the table (the community cards) all the cards you see are live so you make the best possible hand from all the cards you can see.
If you play Omaha or Omaha Hi/Lo you are dealt 4 cards and you must (common mistake) use 2 of your hole cards and 3 community cards to make your best hand.
If you click the little ? in the header bar it will take you to an area of the site to help answer all the questions you may have. There are also a bunch of mods and reps here to help and a huge pool of regular players willing to explain stuff and answer questions you may have.
