How do I stop Replay poker site from opening on google?

HOW DO I STOP REPLAY POKER SITE FROM OPENING ON GOOGLE EACH TIME I OPEN GOOGLE CHROME. IT IS NOT IN MY GOOGLE STARTUP AND POP-UP REDIRECTS NOT ALLOWED

Hi Simplyforfun,

It has to be in your chrome settings. If you cannot find what setting it is, there is always the nuclear option: “reset settings”. If your chrome settings are not very customized this might be the way to go.

I hope this helps,
Cheers!

Hi! Thanks very much for your kindness to take the time to reply. I did look at everything and then did take the reset nuclear option. Didn’t solve the problem…. Weird! That is what has me stumped.

Since I do not know your level of knowledge regarding computers I will make this a pretty basic explanation. Please do not take it the wrong way if you are an expert.

The icons on your desktop are “shortcuts”. Shortcuts are links to items such as applications, documents, and/or pretty much any item or file. Yhere items can be located locally on your computer, on your local network, or on the web. You can also create desktop shortcuts to websites. These usually take the icon of your default browser.

In the picture below, #1 is my shortcut for the browser chrome, it links to chrome.exe on my computer and will start chrome and chrome will open whatever I have set it to, #2 Is a weblink I have created to open Replay Poker which, when double clicked will open the Replay Poker website in my default browser (which happens to be chrome in this instance), #3 is a single click shortcut to chrome.exe on my taskbar. Note that they all have the same icon.

Is it possible you are clicking on a web shortcut (weblink) rather than the chrome application shortcut?

One way to check the icon is to right click on it, and click on properties. If it is an internet shortcut it will say so.

Hopefully this will help solve your problem. If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.
Cheers!

Shout out to all who have kindly replied!

Stupidity rains supreme.

I have always set Chrome to open to a new tab page so didn’t check that.

Somehow it was set on “continue where you left off!”.

Assumptions as usual…… made a you-know-what-of-me.

Thanks again to all and sorry for anyone I disturbed!
