I really do need to thank my mother for preparing me to play poker in my old age. I learned to calculate the odds (that she’d catch me in mischief), to bluff my way to a big pay-off (“No, I didn’t let that boy kiss me”), and to fold when it was obvious I was not going to win a round. Happy Mothers Day, Mom–and good luck at the tables!

I bought my mom a mug that says, “Happy Mother’s Day from the World’s Worst Son”.
I forgot to mail it but I think she knows.

Not, quite. The real world’s worst son would’ve forgotten to mail it last year, and be using it himself daily by now.
