You would think that this is a tough one, but it’s actually the easiest.
One kiss from Miss PIggy and Dopey is out.
Sherlock and Data, both excellent at this game, both know that the competition between them is tough. But the tougher competition between them is who will be the better gentleman. With a lady present, they both fold and let Miss PIggy win the pot. They know how good they are at poker, they don’t need to play to prove it, they just want to be remembered at the gentlemen who gave up the game for the only lady at the table.
Dopy would be so mesmerised by miss piggy that he’d lose due to non concentration, miss piggy would lose to data because data calculates the odds and uses them against her, Sherlock would win the game because although Data cuts it as a good sherlock holmes… he doesn’t understand the concept of bluffing… well done Sherlock, You win!.
I must formally protest against your vision of this epic match, Maya!
Do you seriously think Miss Piggy could win only if the gentlemen were oh so kind and generous as to let her win? I can only laugh!
“My” Miss Piggy doesn’t need any noble gesture from anyone, and certainly not from those three gentlemen!
Besides, I am convinced that Sherlock would never wilfully lose. He is much too vain for that!
So let’s imagine a heads-up situation between her and Sherlock. She might not be as good as Sherlock in analysing a murder and finding out the culprit, and he might be more logical in his thought-processes. But poker requires much more than logics: instinct, intuition, aggressiveness, quickness of decisions, all qualities that characterize Miss Piggy! And she certainly doesn’t lack intelligence.
Since I presume there will be no murder (unless Miss Piggy doesn’t try to kill the dealer or Sherlock, as impetuous as the dear girl is), she will dominate the game!
I cannot believe there is any doubt! Really I am going to have a hissy fit and get my boy friend Kermit (who I am going to Marry whether he likes it or not!) to come and psych all the other players off the table. As if I am not superior to all members of the male gender. Also I am a natural champion and none of the other contestants are, simples my dears!
All are also qualities that characterize Sherlock, dear Miri. Miss PIggy is not only playing against a murder analyzing person who is clueless otherwise. She is playing against 2 of the smartest beings to ever exist (fictionally ). I’m sorry but you are naive to think that she can win over either of them in a game of poker, using her “instinct, intuition, aggressiveness, quickness of decision, and intelligence” even multiplied by 10. Even her porker face wouldn’t be useful against them
The real epic battle would be a heads-up between Sherlock and Data. If Miss PIggy wasn’t playing against them, I would have said that a long endless game between them would have probably ended in smoke coming out of Data’s head and a win for Sherlock, or Sherlock falling asleep from exhaustion and Data winning,
However, as I said before, more important than all the qualities you named in Miss Piggy, her irresistible charm is the asset that will make her win over these 2 unbeatable yet highly courteous gentlemen. Nothing to be ashamed of, her charm is her strongest asset. You can laugh all you want, but yes the only way she would win is if the smartest gentleman and most calculating robot would submit to her irresistible charm and raise the white flag
Was a tough decision between Sherlock Holmes and Data. Data would be good at calculating the odds, but going to have to go with Sherlock Holmes, he’s just too good at reading people. So Sherlock Holmes for the win.
Dopey wins this going away. He is impossible to read because he has no idea what he’s doing himself. He will win hand after hand with all sorts of absurd holdings, forcing Data to blow a circuit, Sherlock to rethink what is and isn’t impossible and get Miss Piggy so steamed that the room smells faintly of bacon.
True but little known fact - Dopey’s nickname is Luckbox
I’m very surprised, my dear Maya, that you, female and excellent poker player, believes that a woman could only win a competition if the men were generous enough to let her.
Are you seriously calling Sherlock Holmes “highly courteous”? Maybe you are confusing him with Dr. Watson, who falls in love with a pretty woman in every novel.
Sherlock is absolutely uncivil, indifferent to social conventions and… impervious to female charm. He wouldn’t even notice his opponent is a woman, let alone the fantastic outfit she bought for the occasion.
With his analytical genius he would perfectly calculate all the odds, the equities, the probabilities, whatever, of every hand, but she would totally discombobulate him with unorthodox moves.
I can imagine in my mind the end of the game: Miss Piggy goes all-in pre-flop with 88, Sherlock calls with AA (the probabilities are on his side), and the third 8 comes on the river.
Sherlock jumps from his chair and very ungentlemanly shouts: “You are a donk!”, and Miss Piggy laughs triumphantly.
Sherlock surely overthinks everything, Data probably has no bluffs in his range, Miss Piggy, well, she might prefer karate after all… So my vote goes to goofy Dopey who can exploit that nobody really takes him seriously and fly under the radar until it’s too late to escape his traps
When did I say that, Miri? Please don’t generalize! This is not about genders, it’s about a specific situation.
In all cases, I don’t see why we’re arguing if we’re both voting for the same player?
You have your reasons, I have mine, but our choice is the same, so let’s stick to that
Before people misunderstand us, I’ll specify that we are joking, of course! LOL
I’m glad our dispute won’t become as long as that of Wallis and Hobbes about the squaring of the circle! LOL
Miss Piggy forever!
Normally I’d go with Data hands down (so to speak). It’s just difficult to beat a computer and over the long haul pretty near impossible.
Sherlock has deductive abilities beyond compare, but the clock runs a little too fast for him here on Replay.
Miss Piggy? I refrain.
However, this is Replay and I’m gonna go with Dopey. After all, he probably thinks it’s a bingo game with cards. That can’t miss here.
I’m going with Miss Piggy’s Cleavage, which should be enough to distract Holmes and Dopey. And Data would then spend so much time trying to be logical about it, she’d swoop in and take him out in the heads up.
