CONTEST - Which opponents do you prefer?

D for me also. I really enjoy playing with my friends but you get to know how they play and what their moves are. I enjoy the challenge of someone new sitting at the table and having no idea what their strategies are and it is always nice to meet people you never met or played with before … Doll

It’s D for me. I love watching the pros on TV and joined Replay last year to learn. I have learnt so much in just over a year. There are regular players who are either friends on Replay or strangers that keep beating me. Still a lot to learn but at least it isn’t real money otherwise I would be sleeping under a bridge wrapped in newspaper.

I like the D option it gives the widest spectrum of players to contest with but in the end almost any type is good as long as the “Bingo Bunnies” stay away

I have to say “D”. I enjoy playing against all opponents. Each type have their own eccentricities. All of them have their own challenges and pleasures. I just enjoy the game.

D for me. Mix it up a little, except for the bingo players.

I prefer D

I enjoy D as there is nothing like a Friday night poker night with the boys (and girls)! lol, My father taught me how to play poker by taking me with him and from as early as I can remember and once I was old enough to sit at the tables with him he would tell his friends "Well boys I brought my A-Game,referring to me and I was allowed to sit down with them. I also enjoy playing with players I have sat down at the tables with before and remembering the way they play I try to beat them at their own game!! And then there are the strangers. I play much harder alongside them as I feel the need to be remembered by them when they find themselves sitting down with me again. Thank you for the question as it brought back memories often tucked away!!`emphasized text

I’m gonna say “A” because I would rather play against people I know. They are more likely to enjoy long walks on the beach and classic disco.

Hands down I prefer D. This provides me the most opportunity to learn and advance my “game” which is my primary motivation. I’m competitive but social too. Hence I prefer a “chatty” table over a “silent” table. D seems to be the consensus and explains why almost any table I’m on is enjoyable (except when it goes “bingo”).

D, fun to compete with friends and I enjoy the challenge of meeting new opponents.

I prefer D as I can pit my wits against strangers and use my own tactics against them while also keeping an eye on my friends and regular strangers to see if I can change my game tactics to outwit them which adds to the fun and satisfaction of this great game.

A. If I am playing in a Home Game.
C. If I am playing at a Casino
D. When playing here at Replay.

rekop1952,

i prefer D. especially when there are bingo players going all in before the flop.
however if i am having a quiet game and folding continuously, then i like to chat to friends (more time to chat ! ) so A. in that case.

D no preference … meeting friends, new people, it’s more interesting

D , Love hi/lo with mixtures! As long as they are not critical of other players!

I choose D 1)no friends at the poker table before and after game people will take advantage of your friendship. 2)strangers keep you on your game until you get a feeling for how they play. 3) a good variety of player styles at the table keeps the game interesting.

It’s fun to play with friends, and it’s usually what we all do during the beginning.

Then one tries to play with strangers that we had already known, as happens when a friend brings a player known to him, that, in case of joining the group, after a while he will also pass to the category of friend.

If one stays only with these two categories, he would not improve much his game.

The first time a person goes to play in a room, like a casino Poker room, he meets all strangers. This is where his personal game is upgraded, studying in an accelerated way the game of each one, distinguishing the maniacs who raise the bets just for the sake of it, those who can be in combination, controlling even the dealer. Here the battlefield is different, I would say it is more real, and survival must be practiced correctly.

Those who have not gone through this stage can not be considered complete.

“A mixture of all” is discriminatory and unfair. Because we are human and we will treat differently those we consider unknown, from whom we consider friends. At a Poker table, the king is Poker and everyone else should receive the same deal. And being this way, it will be nice to play.

After all, we would all be friends if we lived the necessary time to give that opportunity to each of our neighbors.

What an interesting question…I guess it depends on my mood and reasons for being there. If I’m at Hamburg or the Duck Pond, I’m there to visit and chat with my friends - strangers, both B and C are welcome. I love to meet new people. I play on Hamburg with my friends daily and some of my closest friendships ever have started at the poker table, so the social aspect is very important to me. Sometimes I like to join ring games where I do not know anyone - I can play hard and work on different aspects of my game. I’m not expected to talk and I can play hands differently than I normally do without having everyone fold if I do something out of character. If I want to make some quick chips, this is usually the fastest way for me to do it. I may not know them, but even more important, they don’t know me . So I guess my answer would have to be D.

I prefer players that are quick and courteous. I hate playing with some younger people who want to shove on every hand. Especially on a pair of 9s pre flop or raise pre flop EVERY hand (why not just go to a higher table?). What drives me crazy is when a person uses the entire clock to check after 5 people have already checked. CHECK THE BOXES PEOPLE! People that congratulate the winner and tell him nice hand after every single hand- even if he/she won on a pair of 3s bug me. What’s really great is when you can play 100+ games an hour because everyone is alert and engaged. I also cherish opportunities to meet people from other countries.

D is the best mix of people! Friends you have and friends to make. It is boring to play with the same people all the time. Thanks for asking
