CONTEST - How did you find Replay Poker?

Happy holidays, everyone! I hope you all get some fabulous gifts from Santa this month, but we’re also running a special giveaway here in the forum.

For this contest, simply tell us how you found Replay Poker! Did you search for free poker? Look for a way to practice the game without risking real cash on it? Maybe a friend told you about it? We’d love to know how you found us. (Creative entries are also accepted. )

As a special thanks for the season, we’ll be giving TEN random participants 100,000 chips each, and one lucky random player will receive Replay swag (their choice of a mug, hat, or t-shirt)!

We’ll be drawing winners on Monday, December 30th to get a few players a nice bankroll boost in time for the new year. Good luck and best wishes this season!

I used to play on another site which unfortunately shut down, that left me and a few friends I made there in search of a new place to play together. We tried a few but they were no fun , no one chatted and was hard to find friends , then someone suggested this site. To be honest I still wasn’t a big fan , the old site I was used to had emoticons we could use and the chat was bubble chat which was easier to see . It didn’t take long though to start making new friends and I stopped looking at other sites. If my old site would have never shut down I would still be there and never would have found this site , things happen for a reason and I like to think that in this case it worked out for the best.

When I retired, I joined the board of directors for a local charity for foster children. As the annual poker tournament fundraiser at a local casino approached, I thought I should probably participate. I had never played poker in my life. I bought Poker for Dummies, read the section on Texas Hold’em, then searched the Internet for places to practice, and voila! I found Replay Poker. I’m so glad my charity work has paid off for me this way! LOVE my friends here and play daily.

I searched the net for another site to suppliment the one I played on which was gradually losing members and immediately knew Replay was what I had been looking for. I still marvel at the variety of games here and the constant efforts to provide more interesting competitions which are totally poker themed. My one complaint is that I spend far too much time here playing poker and not enough doing the dusting!

(Oh yes, about that dust… It’s here too. :frowning: )

I played at another Large site but never felt like I was in a real card game. Searched and clicked on Replay. Replay just seemed to be an overall great Poker site with good variety of Games and Players. My Wife started playing and now She’s our Family’s chip leader by far. Lol. Truly thank You very much for the Staff and Volunteers that make the site run so smooth.

I consulted my Magic 8 Ball after my other site closed lol.
I googled free poker sites, checked out a few and picked this one. If my other site were still in operation nothing could have dragged me away.

I was watching TV one night and I was going through the channels and started watching Poker After Dark. At the time I really didn’t know what was going on but I watched it for about an hour or so and I was interested in the game they were playing. (Texas Hold’em)

So the next day I started watching some tutorials online about the game and learned the basic’s and rules of the game. A few weeks later I wanted a place where I could practice and play against real people without risking real money so I Googled “Free Poker Websites” and Replay Poker was the first result!

I’ve been playing here since and have met many friends here that I wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for Replay Poker!

I have found it on the internet. Could be a forum, or Google.

from a simple poker site search

A creative judge gave me the choice of playing on Replay or spending 12 months behind bars. I’m still not sure if I made the right decision, but here I am.

I was playing on another site and people started chatting about Replay, a site that was started by players that just wanted to have fun and good conversation. I thought about it for a bit and looked up the site and joined…It was the best decision I have made in a while. Great site and really fine people and players. I have made many friends and hope to make more…Great job Replay Staff!

Searching the internet for poker games.

The short story is I looked up free poker, saw there was no download here and joined. I have been playing poker most of my life, but mostly in home games (I did play online for awhile back in 2001-2002). I watched a lot of the poker shows, but hadn’t played in years. Then one night, I was taking a break at work and one of my coworkers started complaining about a player he had just lost a hand to. He broke down the hand and the betting and I remember thinking that I would have played that hand the same way his opponent did. It made me want find a place to play again, so after work I searched and found Replay and the rest is history

not sure how I ended up here

Like so many others, I’m a refugee from another site that went belly-up. Searching, I found RP needed no download and offered free games. It’s about one week short of four years since I came here (about 15 Dec 2015, give or take a day). About an hour in on my first day, a guy from the hill country of North Carolina friended me. I’m still here, LOL.
JanCee and Grapevine, that isn’t dust–it’s the shattered dreams of unrealistic expectations.

Merry, merry, Happy, happy ('Tis the season, after all).

I wrote search words “free poker site” either to google or yahoo (not sure which 1) and this was 1 of the first in results

I typed ‘Best US Poker Sites’ and saw Replay on the list. When I tried it, I was impressed that most players took things seriously, even though no real money is involved. This creates a more realistic experience.
