Gotthejack becomes the ninth member of the 500 club
The 500 club consists of all Donks who have shown outstanding dedication to the league by playing in at least 500 league games. In today’s Wednesday 3PM game, the ninth Donk in history qualified for this club.
It is my privilege to present to you @Gotthejack as the latest member of the 500 club. Gotthejack joined the Donks in early August 2018, just 2 weeks after the first ever league game was played. He is the second Donk in history to win a Golden Crown by winning the 2019 Q1 Golden Donks Composite Leaderboard. Exactly one year later he won his second Golden crown by winning the 2020 Q1 Golden Donks Wednesday 9PM leaderboard. He added a Tournament of Champions bracelet to his collection by winning the 2020 Q3 Tournament of Champions leaderboard. He played 23 games in 2018, 84 games in 2019, 108 games in 2020, 122 games in 2021, and 163 games to date in 2022.
I’ve enjoyed playing with this Donk many times over the years and he is a pleasure to be at a table with (unless he verbally abuses poor black spiders 
). His poker style is unique and effective. Indeed, he managed to win 20 tournaments. This number would be even higher with a bit more luck (or skill? ) in the heads-up phase of tournaments, given that he is holding the infamous league record of 40 (!) second place finishes.
With that, I’d like to congratulate Gotthejack and wish him all the best for his next 500 league games. Gotthejack is now eligible to wear the classic Donks avatar with the 500 club logo and his two Golden crowns:
