I try to forget that drunk is going to lose my chips at blackjack after getting bored in the cashout line. He’ll go home with $0 and the next day tell his friends he had a blast at the casino.
LOL, yes. It’s funny how the very things that allow us to be winning players (the mistakes of others), also make poker a uniquely frustrating game. When someone makes a gigantic blunder in chess, and then follows it with 5 more gigantic blunders, you don’t usually still end up losing the game.
A chess player will have the sense to resign after making so many mistakes but the bingo player will keep going until he’s out of money. This is supposed to be a good thing for a profitable player, but it’s hard to see it since our memories are so biased towards focusing on losing experiences.

The August 2022 Donk of the Month
It is my honor today to announce the Donk of the month, an award given to a member that makes contributions of service to the league, demonstrates exceptional skill at the table, or has a strong positive influence on the members.
This Donk has been a very regular player in our tournaments, is always a pleasure to have at the table, and has made major contributions to the warm and friendly atmosphere that characterizes this community. We also owe her thanks for successfully recruiting over 20 members.
Our Donk of the Month joined the league in January of 2021 and has played in 238 games. She has also been very active in the larger Replay community, ranking 5th for both the most hands played and the most hands folded, and has over 1,000 friends on the site.
With this, it is my pleasure to announce RavenL as the August Donk of the month.
A fun bonus to be able to respond to a post from RavenL for this announcement, where she is yet again welcoming new league members.

I could not be happier for @RavenL{Carol}. I got her into Donks and she has surpassed everything I thought she would be. A total asset to the league for many reasons and her infectious personality is amazing. She was my very first friend eons ago and has been not only very special to me, but my “go to” lady for the leagues we play in together. Donks is a far, far better place to play with her in it. CONGRATS My Lady…well deserved!!!
