2018 Poker Room & Leaderboards Changes
I’d like to first thank you all for your support and loyalty to Replay in 2017. Replay Poker wouldn’t be what it is today and our progression towards our goal of becoming the home of recreational poker online would not be possible without you!
I’d also like to wish you all an exceptional year 2018, filled with happiness, opportunities, peace, health and abundance. Of course, I also wish you all a superb year at the poker tables.
I have some updates to share on the poker room and more particularly its leaderboard offering. The below changes are effective from today, January 1st. These changes aim at answering some of the feedback we have received and gathered from you in 2017. Please keep sharing your feedback and suggestions, as we will always do our best to accommodate.
-
100% Tournament Points
All our tournaments (MTTs and SNGs) will now be awarding tournament points to all participants. A player will still be required to be active in the tournament for at least 50% of the hands in order to receive the points. -
Monthly & Yearly Leaderboard Prizes
All Monthly & Yearly Leaderboards or Leagues (i.e. Regional Leagues) will now be awarding prizes to the TOP 50 players at the end of the competition. -
Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Royal MTT Leaderboards
We have launched new monthly Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo and Royal MTT leaderboards. We have slightly changed the game requirements on the yearly leaderboards as well. -
Hold’em Exclusive MTT Leaderboards
We have made the monthly Low/Medium/High Stake MTT leaderboards exclusive to the Texas Hold’em game variant. In addition, we launched their equivalent as yearly competitions. -
Regional MTT Leagues
The three current Regional MTT Leagues (European, American, Asian) will remain unchanged. They are very popular. However, a fourth Regional League comes to life: the Oceanic League. This league will follow the same format as the three originals, with two MTTs scheduled at 02:00 ET (5,000 chips buy-in) and 03:00 ET (15,000 chips buy-in). -
The Championships won’t be renewed in 2018
We have decided to not renew these competitions due to a lack of popularity. We will be running a survey to players who have participated in these games to get some further feedback on whether this type of competition could be more successful otherwise. -
Bankroll Builder & Gemstone MTT Leagues
These leagues are paused until January 7th. They will be running from Sunday to Saturday moving forward, rather than from Monday to Sunday. Some changes will also apply on the competition format. More info will be shared this week on this thread about it. -
More Changes to come in January & February
New Sit’n’Go & Omaha MTT Weekly Leagues, freerolls, satelitte tournaments, High Stake Holdem MTTs, Omaha & Royal MTTs. Stay put! -
Ring Games
In 2017, we developed the possibility to run some ring-game competitions on player’s activity (number of hands played), on profitability (winnings/losses at the tables) and on Ring Game Points (a mix of the two). We will be running more seasonal promotions featuring them in the first quarter of 2018. We intend to start offering permanent and recurrent ring game leaderboards from April. -
Promotion Section Update
With all these new competitions, the promotion section (and particularly the Leaderboards & Leagues section) looks a bit overwhelming and crowded. We will be working on a clean-up to improve the look & feel and to make it more user-friendly.
