Suggestions for improving Replay Poker

I have used tickets for re-buys also

I would like to see the tournament buy-in on the lobby page after the tourny starts.

It lists ID, starting time, number of seats, starting players, current players, etc, but doesn’t say how much it cost to play. I know it’s not hard to figure out, but it should be listed.

Just looked and noticed that. Good idea. While we’re on the subject of adding things to that page, how about a line that tells you the total number of chips in play? Also not hard to figure out but it would be a nice reference point for planning your strategy during the game.

Take the format for the 5:30am 50K MTT (Hidden Treasure), add a 75/150 level, bump the time between levels up to 10min and use it for a series of MTT’s. These would be the best formatted games on the site for people who want to play some cards. I think they would attract decent fields, especially if you had regular satellites for whatever buyin they were. I like the idea of a 100K, with satellite entry. Expensive enough to matter to most people but not so expensive that you’d only get 20 runners.

How great would it be to have regularly scheduled MTT’s like this? Make it a league if you want - whatever it takes to get stronger games and fields on a regular basis.

I have a suggestion for tournaments with rebuys. There needs to be a limit on rebuys in EVERY tournament that has rebuys. I sat on a table last night with a fool who went ALL IN on every hand for 20 minutes. He lost almost all of them and rebought in over 50 times. This was not fun to be a part of and had me wondering if I should go back to the WPT site. Please limit the amount of rebuys in every tournament.

Was it the Bankroll Builder 500 B&R? If so, that’s a fairly widespread and effective strategy for said tournament. The idea behind it is to get into the post-rebuy period with a very large effective stack (in relation to the blinds) to allow normal play deeper into the tournament. Basically, during that early period, consider the BB to be “one rebuy”.

A thread regarding this strategy for the 500 B&R can be found here.

In the pop-up lobby windows, it would be nice to use the “dead space” between table list and the lobby chat input line to expand the table player listing so you can see everyone at the table without having to scroll up and down.

That is too crude a solution…what Replay needs is their own Federal Reserve to monitor and deal with inflation. I am hereby volunteering to be Chariman

When a person is banned from the chat , people talk to them , i would like to see a B sign or icon telling the non banned that they r banned . its annoying for everyone

“bank” the won chips.
for example, if my buy-in is 6500 chips, and I accumulate 50,000 won chips, I would like to bank it so I am back to 6500.
The other way of banking is to log off and back on again, but you lose your seat, and no guarantees it will be there when you log back on.

I actually like that you’re not able to rat-hole chips here. It’s similar to how casinos operate.

If you really want to bank your winnings, you can always go to a different table at the same stakes.

This, of course, assumes you’re talking about ring games. I can’t think of any fair, reasonable way to bank tournament chips while the tourney is running.

Well then, it’s not all about you, or me for that matter, and this is not a casino.
Therefore, the question requires poll ?

I got to thinking about how so many players are hung up on chips and rankings, as if they are the end all, be all of the poker world.

Question – What do you think would happen to a player’s ranking if the player were to return (I am given to understand you can tip back to Replay) all the chips he/she had been gifted each day?

Shall we find out?

I joined Replay in March of ’16. I signed in nearly every day for about thirty months of that time. I took some time off (around 6 months I think), but I can’t say for certain when, or exactly for how long. But, for the sake of discussion let us assume that 3 million (2500 x 1200 days) of “my”chips are the result of daily awards, rather than game play, as I haven’t purchased chips.

If someone will tell me how to donate/tip tell me.

Let’s see what happens to my current ranking of around 4500.

By the way, taking chips off the table in the middle of play without “leaving” the table is called “going south” and is considered bad etiquette. If caught doing so in a live cash game you are likely to never be invited back.

I really like this idea. There are some tournaments where your stack shrinks to 1/3 or 1/4 of its original size in under 15 minutes, if I remember right. It definitely changes the pace of play and the number of options each player has, for instance anybody with more than the average number of chips can steal very easily. Maybe there are good reasons for it. It certainly speeds up the game from that point on.

A big challenge in playing tournaments is being able to navigate that section, as you fight to grow your stack to have enough to be able defend and make it to the final table… but I agree it does switch gears very quickly

I have seen it much quicker still on some other sites, but I didn’t think those were very fair and it seemed to be intentional to make it more of a lottery… your chances of beating the 1000+ players that would enter would be slim even if you played perfectly

Please god no! I shut chat off when what I call the ‘nhs’ crowd is doing their thing. An occasional n or nh is okay but the players who feel compelled to comment on every other hand are irritating. They waste my time!

perhaps teamspeak, or one of the other audio apps used for mpg could be adapted for use at tables. haven’t used it in a while, but it’s still on my desktop.
regardless of timer size, most use just a fraction, but it’s nice for it to be there when you need it. i still haven’t come up with a solution for people who routinely use the timer to make their decision (fold, check, ect.). that seems to be the problem with longer timers.
do pro bracelets have much value, other than from the pro they are associated with?
what purpose does the late reg. fill? i’ve entered tourneys on time, and watched the field triple, or more, during late reg.
i’ve been using firefox since before it was firefox. if using chrome fixes the problems with folding, i’m all in.
i complement a hand that beats me, especially the bad beats. helps me not yell at the cat, the wall, ghosts of christmas past, ect. i get the flooded chat mostly from KOK (kitty on keyboard)
is monthly leaderboards the only ones that use average of games played? sometimes, i don’t have time, or chips to play the number of games to cash. i’ve read about bankroll management, and how many buy-ins you should have, but i’m still going to the tables that are the most fun, for me.
finally, i don’t mind buying chips, until i get good enought not to, but do you always have to put the best sells 3 days before the first of the month?

I don’t know if this is the right place to voice this suggestion, but I am looking for more Omaha tournaments. There for awhile, I was seeing tournaments posted daily as to times and amounts… but lately they are not posted in advance of playing (except on Dashboard at time of game with late registration for about 15 min.) Please more Sit & Go and more Omaha tournaments!

Hi anitace. If you go to dashboard and click sit & go tournaments then use the drop down bar below the words ring games and click Omaha there are tournaments there that you can play anytime of the day, I believe you are under multi -table tournaments if you are seeing the 15 min late registrations. Hope this helps doll

I’m nobody in particular. If it came down to players opinions I’d like to give mine on your suggestions, and add a couple as well.
As far as the “Time bank” Idea. I like to use it as a tactic as well, however…It is so abused that it becomes obnoxious during play. I’ve witnessed the extension first hand, in the “WSOP” app. It gets abused and overused. You shouldn’t need the time bank to make a simple “Call” or “Fold” action, or any predetermined button action. I could see it as an automatic action, if you are manually inputting a raise number or something to that affect. Bottom line for me is that I don’t care for extended time in the game.

Idea # 2. I am indifferent on. It’s a cool thought for sure. If up to a vote, I would vote for it. Otherwise, I can live without it.

#3 Trophies / Bracelets. Absolutely a very cool idea and should be a plan in the works if it isn’t already.
To add to it, make them different colors, Dates perhaps or add levels to them, for multiple titles of the same Tournament.

A feature I would like to see added is a preventative of sorts and a two part idea. I think there should be a specific number of consecutive hands, or consecutive amount of time a player can be inactive at the table. It isn’t right or fair to players fighting their way through the hordes, to have someone come in fresh and take them out of the game or whatever. I just don’t care to see sleepers at the table. They take up space where you could be collecting chips from active players, or losing chips to them as well. I think a lot happens in the game in a 10 minute time frame. I think, if you are inactive for 10 hands or 10 minutes, you get a warning, then if still inactive a few minutes later you lose your seat, entry fee and any chips on the table if any are involved.
Part two is that you reduce the “late buy-in” feature 15 minutes is too long in my opinion.

My third thought is to instate a “Bad Beatdown” clause of some sort. Mainly in the Hold’em games, but could be applied to others I suppose. It should apply to specifically Full house hands and higher, but as all rules and options are, debatable and adjustable to the sites best interests.

That’s all I have for now.
Thanks for listening and / or replying.
See you at the tables.

I poll… No, it has a shady look & feel. there is a reason casino’s do it.
Would you like to watch a person who has won a lot of your chips go? or take your chips out of play? You would/should like to know that there is a chance (however small) that you can get some or all of them back! right?
